Have you ever found yourself asking one of these questions while navigating your Microsoft Dynamics 365/CRM environment?
Why can’t I just start at that screen every morning?
Can’t Dynamics show me more records than that?
My co-workers see items in their time zone – why can’t I?
If these sound familiar, you’ve stumbled upon the right blog post.
To change your Personal Settings, navigate to the upper right-hand corner of your screen and click on the Gear icon.
(If you hover over this icon, you will see a pop-up box appear above it that says “Settings”.)
Once you click on that icon, click on “Options” next.
A pop-up box will appear in the center of your screen.
You will see the fields: “Default Pane/Default Tab” first.
You will see the default type appear, whether it’s Sales, Marketing, Service, etc.
If you want to change that Default Pane or Tab so that in your black Navigation Bar you see something different, like Service instead of Sales, you can change that in the dropdown menu of your “Default Pane” field.
You will want to set this so that it shows what you’d like to see when you log in to your environment every morning.
The default in your system will be set to show 50 records per page, but we recommend setting it to 250 records per page.
That way, you don’t have to click “Next Page” too often. Most of us know that that can get frustrating fast!
Eliminating the number of clicks you have to go through in your system will always save you time … speaking of time – to set your time zone to where you’re located, if it’s not already defaulted to the right setting.
So, for example, if you’re in the Wisconsin area like we are at Ledgeview Partners Headquarters, you’ll want to select Central Time.
Now, you should be able to set a particular Dashboard to be the one you come to every day you log in to CRM.
First, click on whatever dashboard you’d like to be the default dashboard you see when you log in every morning (you can always adjust this).
Once you’re on that screen, simply click on the “Set as Default” icon that appears below your black Navigation Bar to set it as your default dashboard.
We hope these tricks make your day-to-day much more efficient!
This is just the start of the efficiencies you will see while using Microsoft Dynamics 365/CRM.
