How to Expand or Collapse All Records

If enabled by your system administrator, you will notice that a new icon is available in your timeline. If you don’t see it yet, but would like to take advantage of this feature, talk to your Dynamics 365 admin.

How to Utilize Email-specific Actions for Email Records

Enabling the threaded email view is done via the timeline configuration in Power Apps. Threaded Email Views must be done in this setting for each specific timeline, form, and entity.

There are two methods for enabling Threaded Email Views in the timeline.

The first method is to use the new options you see in your “More Commands” menu, as shown below. These new options pertain to emails only and allow you to enable or disable Threaded Emails. This is a huge improvement and has been a requested feature for quite some time!

When many email replies have been tracked, you can save valuable space in the timeline by choosing to consolidate emails into threads and collapse or expand. If you choose “Always show email as conversations,” your emails will display in the timeline threaded together.

The second method is to change your Personal Options. To change your Personal Options, follow these steps:

  1. From the command bar, select “Settings” > “Personalization Settings.”
  2. Go to the “Email” tab.
  3. Select the “Show emails as Conversation on Timeline” checkbox.
  4. Click “OK.”

Once a user applies this setting, it will be applied to all of their timeline views.

How to Use the Highlight Matching Text for the Search Filter

When you enter a word or phrase in the timeline search box, the title, subject, description, or body of the record will be searched.

The results will be retrieved and displayed below the search bar. The word or phrase that you entered into the search box will be highlighted in the results as shown below.

Note: this feature first needs to be enabled by your system administrator in the timeline settings for the form that you are using. If you do not see it in your system, talk to your Dynamics 365 admin to enable it.
