Salesforce is committed to helping companies connect to their customers as efficiently and effectively as possible. If you are a current Salesforce Sales Cloud user you know the steps involved in dialing and logging the activity notes from every inbound and outbound call you take.

Coming this summer, targeted for general availability in July 2016, Salesforce will launch Lightning Voice. This new feature is an out-of-the box add-on that will enable voice calls directly within the Sales Cloud for both outbound and inbound calls.

When sales connects with customers they can easily receive calls, automatically log the call and efficiently take notes from that call.

One of the coolest features is the ability to localize the number to match a contact’s region. This significantly increases the chances that your call will be answered. For example, if you are calling me in Appleton, Wisconsin my phone would show you calling from a 920 area code.

This is one feature that I know works – It has caught me many times. I will admit that I am a lot more prone to answer my phone thinking it is a local number.

Lightning Voice outbound will be available at $45 per user, per month and Lightning Voice inbound can be added on for an additional $5 per user, per month.
