As of the Salesforce Spring ’19 Release, Salesforce organizations can now enjoy increased data storage, and there are major benefits to this expansion.
Salesforce reports data storage for select editions is increasing from 1 GB to 10 GB, allowing organizations more room to grow.
As an example, Salesforce says previously a Professional Edition org with 10 users received 1 GB because 10 users multiplied by 20 MB per user allotment is 200 MB.
Now, Salesforce reports a Professional Edition org with 10 users receives 10 GB + 200 MB.
10GB of Salesforce storage translates into, roughly, 5 million records, depending on the type of data that is being stored.
This is a huge increase, especially for customers with a small number of users that deal with a lot of accounts and contacts!
The change will apply to:
- Lightning Experience
- Salesforce Classic
- All Versions of Salesforce app in …
- Contact Manager
- and Unlimited Editions
