Use Dynamics 365 General (Auditing) Workflow for High Interest UpdatesThe General (Auditing) Workflow in Microsoft Dynamics 365 allows users to automatically send an email or create a task (if further action is necessary) when something of high-interest is updated.

This may include Opportunity, Lead, or Account reassignments, if an Opportunity is Won or Lost, an Account is Deactivated, a Lead has been Qualified or Disqualified, and so on. Specific fields are updated on records.

Salespeople, service, management, and marketing alike benefit from this workflow. Really, all departments do.

A user-level knowledge is required to set this up.

Follow these steps to set up the General (Auditing) Workflow in Microsoft Dynamics 365:


1. Trigger: Record is Assigned

2. Click “Select this row and click Add Step” and click Add Step > Send Email OR Create Record

3. If you chose Create Record, select Task in the dropdown, and Set Priorities as desired. Save and Close.

4. Activate your Workflow
