Question: Are there any after-hour social networking events offered?

Answer: Yes! Often, a variety of partners and businesses will host after-hour social networking sessions to give you additional opportunities to connect. While an official list has yet to be published, we advise connecting with your partners and business community and start asking around. The more you network ahead of time, throughout, and after the conference events, the better!

Meeting New People

Question: Can you recommend any hotels for me to stay while I’m there?

Answer: Some conference attendees have reported they’re having trouble finding a hotel that isn’t already booked for the entirety of the conference.

If you find yourself in this boat, and especially if this if your first time going, you may be overwhelmed, but there’s no need to fear. This event is meant to bring enjoyment and awareness to your life! There are many methods of transportation to get you to and from the Gaylord resort throughout the day, like Uber or shuttle services, for example.

Some users have recommended staying at hotels like Disney’s Pop Century, Hilton, Buena Vista Suites, or Holiday Inn. Many of these accommodations provide shuttle services to guests. Call ahead to see what amenities are offered.

Question: Are there additional charges for attending sessions on top of registration fees?

Answer: This is a great question, and the answer is even better. There is no additional fee to attend User Group Summit sessions from Wednesday – Friday. The summit officially kicks off with the Expo Welcome Reception on Tuesday, October 15, 2019.

Registration includes all sessions! Though you will not have the time and ability to attend them all, so we recommend browsing your registration portal to get to know all of the session learning objectives and speakers as much as you can, and plan ahead so you can optimize your time in Orlando, FL.

Question: Are meals included?

Answer: Past attendees confirm that during breakfast and lunch hours, there are buffet meals served in either a large ballroom or convention area at no additional cost to attendees.

For dinner time, you’re on your own, and Orlando, FL has some great options, whether you choose to browse Downtown Disney or venture further. Use relevant apps like Yelp to help you find dining you like close by or map it out ahead of time with other online recommendations. There are many resources available to help you enjoy your summit experience on and off-site!

Question: Is it necessary for me to bring cash?

Answer: You could probably get away with not traveling with cash, but users recommend bringing a few five-dollar or one-dollar bills for tipping at restaurants, with drivers, or using for vending machines, for example. It’s up to you to make the call! This is something you should thoroughly consider about attending User Group Summit.

Question: How do I find a solution/exhibitor during the summit?

Answer: This is a very important thing to know about attending User Group Summit. Many users want to know the answer to this question, and the User Group Community recommends the following steps:

  1. Go to the User Group Summit – North America Home page, log in, and click Summit Exhibitors & Floorplan in the Sponsorship dropdown menu

  2. Do your homework – in the upper left-hand corner of the sidebar menu, click on “Sort” to explore exhibitors by category and scout potential partners ahead of time

  3. If a partner interests you, the User Group Summit community recommends marking them as “Favorite” (using the start icon) so you don’t miss them at the summit
  4. To find your “Favorite” exhibitors in the expo hall while you’re there, open your Expo Hall Map and your “Favorite”s will be marked in yellow, making them that much easier to find
