What’s New in the Salesforce Winter 2021 Release Part 3

For Salesforce users on non-preview instances, the Salesforce Winter 2021 Release is creeping up.

As a reminder, “for the Winter ’21 Release, Salesforce will upgrade the preview instances to Winter ’21 on September 11 and September 12, 2020, and non-preview instances to Winter ’21 on October 16 and October 17, 2020.” (Salesforce)

Over the past few weeks, we’ve covered What’s New in the Salesforce Winter Release Parts 1 and 2. Today, we’re wrapping up the series with Part 3. We’ll also be sharing tips for admins to succeed with the new release in upcoming posts.

For Part 3, we are reviewing What’s New with Industries and Sustainability Cloud, Salesforce.org and Employee Experience, Einstein Analytics, and Success Cloud and Enablement, with the help of Salesforce Trailhead.

Industries and Sustainability Cloud

Financial Services Cloud: Compliant Data Sharing

This feature helps users “ensure that client engagement and deal data that contains material nonpublic information (MNPI) is shared in a compliant manner.” (Salesforce)

Health Cloud: Intelligent Document Automation

This helps users “simplify the document management process and reduce manual data entry by managing all patient and member forms in one place.” (Salesforce)

This is an improvement to Health Cloud’s automation capabilities.

Manufacturing Cloud: Einstein Analytics for Manufacturing Enhancements

This enhancement helps users gain 360-degree views of their manufacturing business performance in a single platform. AI-powered insights help users easily analyze and view their organization’s “top-down target attainment across customers, products, and regions based on product volume and revenue.”

Consumer Goods Cloud: Einstein for Consumer Goods

Einstein Analytics for Consumer Goods Cloud will help users:

  • Analyze their business
  • Discover areas for growth and opportunity
  • And ensure audit accuracy and productivity during store visits

Sustainability Cloud: Data Gap Filling

Data Gap Filling helps users find and fix gaps and overlaps in their analyses and processes.

Salesforce.org and Employee Experience

Users will find several updates with Salesforce.org and Employee Experience in the upcoming release from Salesforce.org Elevate to Nonprofit Cloud Grants Management to Philanthropy Cloud for Android to Quip Template Library.

Extending mobile capabilities for Philanthropy Cloud will make it easier for more users to use the cloud on the go and mobilize their work or volunteer force(s).

Grants Management is an especially exciting enhancement to Nonprofit Cloud as it helps users simplify and accelerate the grant management process, making it more flexible and community-driven than before.

Einstein Analytics

From Fast Start Templates to Connectors for Snowflake to Scheduled Model Refresh, Salesforce users and admins will notice a lot of new functionality with Einstein Analytics in the Winter 2021 Release.

Fast Start Templates are especially exciting as they allow users to simply choose one when creating a story. Salesforce says “Einstein Discovery builds the training dataset using all the best practices and builds the iteration of an Einstein Discovery story.”

Success Cloud and Enablement

In the Winter 2021 Release, you will find:

  • Help Portal Enhancements
  • Einstein Recommendations for Salesforce Trailhead
  • Trailhead GO Enhancements
  • And myTrailhead Content Kits for Equality

All of these updates and enhancements expand Salesforce’s capabilities for users in unique ways. If you are a frequent Salesforce Trailhead Trailblazer, you will find them especially riveting.

They should make learning about and using Salesforce even more user-friendly.
